Turkey & the rights of Turkey's Kurds vs. the rights of Turkish Cypriots

Organizing a "Turkey & the rights of Turkey's Kurds vs. the rights of Turkish Cypriots" conference, under EU auspices, is a fantastic idea in order to raise awareness about Turkey's double standards in relation to the rights of large ethnic minorities within unitary states!

Constantinides I followed with great interest the debate and I do agree that despite the differences in the two cases a conference would be useful in the sense that, since the perpetrator of the injustice is the the same , it will help demonstrate, by the unavoidable comparison, the double standards used by Turkey on the subjects. Turkey's arguments on the two cases heard at one and the same conference will be received differently from any arguments heard in isolation for each case. - April 20 at 10:54am

Kyriakides ‎"since the perpetrator of the injustice is the the same" - That is EXACTLY what makes the plight of Kurds in Turkey & the "plight" of tCs in Cyprus inextricably linked. - April 20 at 10:59am

Turkey's Kurds & Cyprus' tCypriots

As either unitary state or federation solutions are discussed as replacements to Cyprus' 1960 and Turkey's 1923 unworkable constitutions, should we abide by "if a right is a right too many for Turkey's Kurdish community (circa 23% of population) then that right is a right too many for Cyprus' tCypriot community too (circa 15%), and vice versa." Is the adoption of this fair logic the catalyst to securing just solutions for both UN countries.
