For a win-win successful result a negotiation must be principled. How then do the United Nations hope to carry out a principled negotiation when the very basis thereof is unprincipled? Not merely unprincipled but in direct violation of a plethora of its own resolutions. Accepting bizonality as the basis for the negotiations is equivalent to legitimizing the 1974 invasion, division and ethnic cleansing of the formerly majority Christian northern Cypriot territories. Even if Christians understand bizonality vastly differently from Muslim Cypriots, why have they accepted it as a basis? Well, if your country had been invaded by a neighboring country 100 times your size, already occupying 37% of your territory & having the silent support of its even bigger allies (US/UK) to pursue such action, what would you do? It is not up to the Cypriots to denounce bizonality. The responsibility rests on the shoulders of those pulling the strings, namely the United States and the United Kingdom, who as this 2008 US cable proves, they are far from the neutral thirds in the Cyprus quagmire they wish to project to the outside world.

Obama’s Hypocrisy Regarding Forcible Border Changes | CATO Institute
FEBRUARY 12, 2015 - By TED GALEN CARPENTER SHARE
In a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President Obama stated that he was considering sending weapons to the government of Ukraine. Noting that Russia had already annexed Crimea and was now backing separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine, the president warned that “the West cannot stand and simply allow the borders of Europe to be redrawn at the barrel of a gun.”

Are you with us or against us?
For Cyprus 1974 was a massive post WWII ethnic cleansing exercise, abetted by those world powers Cypriots share common values with. A massive colonization ongoing since which threatens to alter the millenniums-long, uninterrupted, recorded, Hellenic Christian character of the island. Just think of what it would mean for your own country. Cyprus's "friends" keep silent, while watching Cypriots struggling to decipher the semantic differences between 'ally' and 'strategic partner'. Let me help. A strategic partner is someone who forces the bully to back off. All others are at best neutral parties. In the case of the UK in particular it is a Trojan Horse.

Yes You Can Reunite the Kingdom!
Even if Scots break Britain up on September 18th 2014 there is a well thought out model that can put it back together. It's called Bizonal Bicommunal Federation or BBF for short, and it is 100% British from conception to full fledged plan. Under the wise leadership of Lord David Hannay the BBF model was envisioned for another island, the small island-nation of Cyprus in the warm seas of the eastern Mediterranean. It failed to gain popular approval. But fortunately, in the case of assembling back the UK we would not have to worry about concocting zones and legitimizing illegal massive population transfers, as the zones already exist by history on Britain, thereby hopefully giving meaning to the unique work of Lord Hannay!

Turkey's Kurds & Cyprus' tCypriots
As either unitary state or federation solutions are discussed as replacements to Cyprus' 1960 and Turkey's 1923 unworkable constitutions, should we abide by "if a right is a right too many for Turkey's Kurdish community (circa 23% of population) then that right is a right too many for Cyprus' tCypriot community too (circa 15%), and vice versa." Is the adoption of this fair logic the catalyst to securing just solutions for both UN countries.
